What it says
Some people thought coconut oil it is superfood. But after cholesterol checked. The results might change mind because it have cholesterol more than 2x of Butter. So I not good idea for use to cook for people having congenital disease like diabetes or heart disease.

My response
People in the past used coconut oil for heat or light for midnight in generation did not have electricity.
No have evidence them use coconut for cook. Because palm oil is popular untill now. Now goballization is changing we have electricity or etc. So coconut oil use for spa or mix with cosmetic more than use to cook. One think that supporting coconut oil in Thai massage like to use it for scrub skin because have moisturizer more than any oils and ofcouse very aromatic and feel relaxing more than use to cook.
Thank you Mark. I thought your extra information about the uses of coconut oil in the past was especially interesting. I didn't know it could be burned for light. That reminds of the fun that my brothers, sisters and I used to have burning chicken fat in homemade lamps. It wasn't the best small, and not the best source of light, but it was fun to play with when we could get some our mother had thrown out.
ReplyDeleteDid you used to play with coconut oil?
And can you edit your post to give it a title?

Thanks for a useful story about coconut oil. I am really interested on what you wrote, and now I know that using coconut oil is not as good as I thought. So I will try to not use it for my cooking.
ReplyDeleteFor me, coffee is a superfood, except that I'm not sure it's really a food. But it does have many health benefits, even though it's also an addictive drug like heroin or alcohol. In fact, the evidence suggests that coffee is much healthier for you than tea.
